General Psychiatry Residency Program
Joshua Kane, MD
Biography
One of the things that attracted me to Brown was meeting residents who had traveled a circuitous route to psychiatry. At Brown there are many residents who have had other careers or pursued other interests before going into psychiatry. I think these experiences can only help in making a connection with patients and becoming better doctors. Providence is also a unique blend of city and town. The transition has been easy and it's been a great fit. Education: 2004, M.D., SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, Brooklyn, NY 1996, B.A., Yale University, American Studies
