The residency recognizes trainees who represent the highest standard of excellence.

Each year at graduation, the Brown Psychiatry Residency Program bestows two awards for outstanding accomplishments during residency:

Martin B. Keller Award for Outstanding Resident in the Brown General Psychiatry Residency

Faculty nominate and select a graduating psychiatry resident who has displayed outstanding performance during the course of their training. The award was instituted in 2009 in honor of Martin B. Keller, M.D., chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior from 1989-2009.
