General Psychiatry Residency Program

The General Psychiatry Residency Program is committed to training compassionate, dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled leaders in psychiatry.

The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University General Psychiatry Residency is committed to training compassionate, dedicated, knowledgeable, and skilled leaders in psychiatry.

Our faculty creates a challenging, flexible, and supportive academic environment in which residents are able to identify their individual interests and skills. We prepare residents to become skilled clinicians, experienced educators, and successful researchers. Graduates are able to provide compassionate, scientifically informed, high quality psychiatric care to their patients and serve as role models for other professionals.
